Ear injection
I have the mother of all ear infections and the pain is overwhelming.

I’ve tried wiping my knob on it but now I have an infected knob.

I’ll try anything - my old nan told me to pour hot oil it and now I have burns on my ear too.

Give me some cures and I’ll let you know how they go.

Find nearest walk-in centre.

Get prescribed antibiotics.

Take regular OTC painkillers while antibiotics work their magic.

Stuff an umbrella up your Jap's eye.

It won't cure your ear infection, but should take your mind off it for a while.

Re: Ear injection
Heat will ease it, old wife's tale but it works

Heat some salt up in sauce pan pour into a sock and tie then hold against ear.

A Clean sock is best.

Go to the doctors.

My old man, rest his soul, had an ear infection and got given antibiotics. When they didn't fix it he would "wait and see how it was" before going back to the GP

Eventually it spread to his facial nerves causing bells pals (face drop like a stroke).

Went to hospital on a blue light ambulance and stated there for a month as the infection got into his skull. Doctors feared it would start attacking his brain so operated to try and stop it.

He came home but never really recovered and so had to go back into hospital for nearly 4 months within a few weeks. Then went into a care home and passed away a few weeks later.

He was 86 granted, but up until that ear infection was fully active and independent.

So, go to the doctors.
